Akidi Doreen has been cooking for Invisible Children staff and visitors for years.

Last month, students who raised funds to build Schools for Schools projects came to visit Uganda and learn more about Invisible Children programs, the history of northern Uganda, and Acholi culture. Doreen gave them an introduction to Ugandan cooking, teaching them how to prepare dishes like boo and malakwang. Doreen even agreed to share her recipe for malakwang with the rest of the world – read on and try preparing it at home.
