Official kick-off of the Early Warning Radio Network in CAR

Community votes

Expansion of the Early Warning Radio Network into the Central African Republic officially kicked off on Wednesday, November 28th with the first meeting of a new Local Protection Committee (CLP) in Obo, Central African Republic.

Thirty-one community members attended the meeting, representing local associations, churches, city council, etc., in order to elect the positions that make up the CLP. With expansion into CAR now underway, we look forward to the growth of the Early Warning Radio Network and the protection it will bring to communities currently at risk of LRA violence.
