Sometimes (read: most times) the second try is better than the first. Trust me, I’m the second born in my family. #kidding. This is especially true in the tech world – problems are fixed, new features are added. It’s a win-win. Two great examples: the iPad 2 and the recently revamped Myspace. Yeah Myspace. Trust me.

Taking a cue from from these tech giants and because we have an insatiable appetite for improvement, Invisible Children and our partners at Resolve are excited to announce the launch of Phase II of the LRA Crisis Tracker. New features include:

+ One additional year of historical data starting from the Christmas Massacres in December 2008. Sources include reports from Human Rights Watch, JIOC, OCHA, local NGOs and other regional and international partners.

+ An interactive infographics section showing attacks by country, net LRA conscription, attacks by type, total abductions over time, and proximity of attacks to major communities. Phase II further allows the user to view trends and patterns across a specified time period.

+ LRA commander profiles with biographies and current status of known LRA commanders.
