Sometimes it’s good to take a break from the hustle and bustle of our daily routines to really stop and reflect on the amazingness of being alive. No matter where you’re at, take a couple minutes to appreciate the simple fact that you’re here and that you matter. In honor of this week’s theme of gratitude, we took some time to recognize a few things we can all be thankful for:

1. In a galaxy full of trillions of planets, you and I are alive and each of us has significance.

2. Corsets are no longer in style.

3. Photoshop is a thing…

4. We have loved ones who do not disown us even though we are hot messes about 75% of the time.

5. We have a never-ending abundance of information at our fingertips (I mean, just look at this).

6. The Walking Dead is just a TV show — not a reality.

7. This sweet quote by Mr. Rogers:

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’ To this day, especially in times of ‘disaster,’ I remember my mother’s words and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers – so many caring people in this world.”

8. If we’re ever having a bad day, we can look up an endless supply of adorable (and not so adorable) animals on the internet.

9. We get to be inspired by the courageous among us – the people who empower us to believe in the impossible. And we get to learn from the giants who have gone before us – the ones who paved the way for justice and who have taught us so much about the world we live in.

We are thankful for the many things that make the world beautiful, and we’re working to make peace and freedom a universal reality. Check out the work that’s close to our hearts.
