How the last hour played out – Artist Liaison Alex Collins G-chatted me – “I’m in love.” Accompanied was a link to a video by sister duo Lily & Madeleine, an outfit from Indianapolis, Indiana, who have had quite a busy day. (Their video for “In The Middle” was posted on Reddit and has since exploded on the interwebz).
Alex purchased the group’s EP – rush-released via Bandcamp with an iTunes debut to follow next week. He then played me the collection of songs in full. Following that, I proceeded to also buy a download.
THEY’RE THAT GOOD.
There will be inevitable First Aid Kit comparisons – sisters, old-folk, young. In response, we say, “we don’t care.” We’re huge First Aid Kit fans, and now we’re Lily & Madeleine obsessors as well.
