[Invisible Children Music: We firmly believe that music has a necessary role in giving social movements tremendous amounts of momentum. It is a universal language, and at Invisible Children, it’s important for us to be a part of that language.]
In these post-Fourth Estate busy times of planning 10 Year Anniversary Benefit Shows (ya… it’s coming) it’s nice to prioritize finding new music for your ears. If you like it, share this mix with a friend. I always think experiences are better shared.
Let me know your favorite tunes.
Until then.. I’ll be at your service, digging for more gold in the form of musical 001110101s.

01. SYLVAN ESSO – “Hey Mami” :: Get ready to have this song on repeat for days. It’s unconventional yet completely addictive nature is somehow sweet, soothing and fun all at once.
02. NONONO – “Pumpin Blood” :: If it’s not already on your summer anthem list, it is now.
03. Mø – “XXX 88” :: The Danish singer’s latest collab with Diplo is one of the best releases I’ve heard in a while. It has a driving power and her vocals are flawless.
04. MADI DIAZ – “Stay Together” :: What’s not to love about uplifting dream-pop? I feel like I’m living in slow motion smiles while listening to this song.
05. WHINNIE WILLIAMS – “Break Hearts In Your Sleep” :: Whinnie Williams somehow perfectly fuses a throwback vibe with a contemporary sound to create something entirely new. I think I have a new band crush.
06. DR. DOG – “Broken Heart” :: Dr. Dog never misses… not even when the ladies keep the toilet seat down.
07. GOLDROOM – “Embrace” :: I like how this band describe themselves “a nostalgic romance of tropical textures and soulful rhythms.” Yummm.
08. SING LEAF – “Same Old Satellite” :: I had to include a folk song on here. With an Elliot Smith meets The Shins kind of a sound this Toronto based band is the perfect cap to this mix.
