In 2011, we partnered with over 40 artist to achieve something incredible: raising $100K to help build a life-saving radio tower in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Musician Coalition was formed with artists from every genre, internationally recognized and local. They came together with the goal to change communities in Central Africa forever, and succeeded.
From benefit shows to auctions, artist fundraised alongside their fans, and together were able to raise $100,000… which was used to build a radio tower in the DRC. This radio tower is a part of our Early Warning Radio Network, which provides communities the ability to provide life-saving information and communicate warnings of nearby LRA activities.
FM Radio also play another large role in encouraging defections. 89% of ex-LRA members have said that “Come Home” radio messages influenced their decision to escape.
