Since their 2003 record Underachievers Please Try Harder, Camera Obscura have been high on the list of “great bands who produce great music.” No one makes their brand of melancholic/nostalgic pop better.
There’s been a long absence since the group released their last album My Maudlin Career in 2009, so the announcement of their upcoming record Desire Lines is well appreciated. It all kicks off with the new single “Do It Again.”
It’s a joyous, riffy track with lead vocalist Tracyanne Campbell’s tone on full and glorious display.
