We don’t know who is more excited for August – us or you.

We have been working beyond all comprehension to make sure the Fourth Estate Summit is the best four days ever by securing amazing speakers, talented musicians for our nightly “Fireside” performances, a packed house for the Common Good Exchange where you’ll get to mingle with top organizations from around the world, breakout sessions that feature different topics and panels, film screenings, and an epic dance party. Game on.

The application deadline has now passed. That leaves you in one of the following categories in regards to acceptance status and wait list. Allow me to elaborate and clear up any questions you may have.

Fourth Estate Summit

1.) You applied and have received acceptance via email. Yay! If you were accepted between April 1-19, your final payment is due by May 29th. If you were accepted between April 26-May 15, you must be paid in full by June 15th.

NOTE: If you are concerned about finances, there are a limited number of scholarships available, and our team is here to help you raise the money you need to cover the cost once you’ve been accepted. Don’t let finances prevent you from attending. We want you to be at the Summit, and we will help you find a way.

2.) You applied and have not received notification of acceptance yet. Due to the number of applicants, we are accepting people on a rolling basis (which is a fancy way of saying our Summit team is reading each and every application and there is only so much time in a day). You will know if you have been accepted or on our wait list by May 30th.

3.) You’re on the wait list. We can only fit so many people into Royce Hall on UCLA’s campus, thus we have an allotted number of participants we are able to accept. As spaces open up, you will move on up the list and hopefully get to join us at the Summit. Everyone on the wait list will know if they have been accepted by June 15th.

Royce Hall. Not too shabby.

As the countdown begins for August 8th, we are here to answer questions about logistics, fundraising, scholarships, attire, meals, etc. We have this handy dandy FAQ page that may answer everything you ever wanted to know but sometimes you want to speak to a real person. We get it. And encourage it. Please call (619) 562-2799 and ask to speak to someone on the Summit team. Alternatively, you can email them at [email protected].
