Things are getting crazy around the office as we prepare for the 2013 Fourth Estate Summit in a few weeks. One of the bands that will be melting faces at the Summit is Ghost Beach. I am more than a little bit excited for this one and their new video for “Moon Over Japan” is getting me even more hypeded.
The animated video, released earlier this week, tells the story of two people who meet online and fall in love before meeting. Think Tinder meets Cinderella – a story I am all too familiar with – but that’s a different story for a different day.
There aren’t many animated music videos these days, so this is an unexpected breath of fresh air. The dominant 80s look and feel of the video mirrors the electro-pop vibes of the song. It’s fun. It’s exciting. It leaves you wanting more. Much like their set will be at the 2013 Fourth Estate Summit, I’m sure.
