A month ago, we launched our global #zeroLRA campaign. In the past 30 days, you set up your fundraising page, you organized fundraisers, you watched us give away our first of seven free trips to Uganda, and you helped us raise over $154,000 for the men, women, and children still held captive by Kony’s LRA. So yeah, a lot has happened in the past month.

To commemorate this special day, we thought Matt Cutt’s TED Talk, “Try something new for 30 days,” would be just perfect. Cutts is an engineer at Google, so obviously all of his ideas are gold. In his talk, Cutts introduces what he calls “30 Day Challenges,” where, every day for a month, he actually committed to doing the things that he always wanted to do in life. A simple idea with huge returns.

What will your 30 Day Challenge be? Here’s our not-so-subtle suggestion: challenge yourself to fundraising for #zeroLRA every day for the next 30 days. It doesn’t have to be grandiose, large-scale fundraising events – just find little ways, every day, to raise money for a cause that matters. You’ll be surprised by how much adds up in a month – and a #zeroLRA 30 Day Challenge might even win you a trip to Uganda, while you’re at it.
