Sixteen-year-old Amanda Maratta has been a supporter of Invisible Children for years, and this spring, in the midst of KONY 2012, she took it upon herself to spread the word, fundraise, and take part in Cover the Night.

In March, Amanda organized the AMPathy Fest benefit concert in Connecticut featuring talented bands from the Northeast (a few of which have played at Bamboozle, we might add). Empathy is a core value here at Invisible Children, and we can appreciate a little wordplay. Named for using the power of music to do good for others, AMPathy Fest brought together over a hundred supporters. Music. Friends. Awareness.

Just a month later, Amanda attended a screening of KONY 2012 at the University of Connecticut where she met some of our dauntless Roadies. Amanda, the Tri State Roadies, and a few talented graffiti artists Covered the Night with the best of them. They painted murals, handed out baked goods, and spread the community service spirit.

Amanda learned firsthand that every mural, baked good, and penny can matter. Thank you, Amanda, for everything you do. You inspire us.
