Eliza Doolittle, of pop music fame and not My Fair Lady fame, has been quite severely lacking from the music game recently. She came onto the scene with her criminally breezy singles “Pack Up” and “Skinny Genes,” promoted the album, traversed the globe, then submerged to work on new music.

Today, she is surfacing again with a brand new song – let’s for now dub it a “heater track” – from her forthcoming sophomore album. The song is a collaboration with British musician + producer Kwes. “Don’t Call It Love” maintains the same strut-worthy perkiness of her first album yet somehow manages to add a new, darker, more atmospheric vibe – all the while with the staple Doolittle soul.

It’s already approved by Benji Madden, and it’s bringing in the weekend vibes quite heavily in the office now.

Head over to the (very quality) blog Pigeons and Planes to hear the track. Click the deceptively linked play button below:

Eliza, we are ready for the new record.
