Dorine, now 22, was abducted from her home in northern Uganda in October of 2002, when she was 12 years old. She has spent the past 10 years in the bush, enslaved as one of Kony’s several wives. In June of 2012, she escaped in Central African Republic with her one five-year-old son, whose father is Joseph Kony. Following her escape, she and her son were reunited home by ICRC and provided rehabilitation services by GUSCO.
