Well, folks, New Zealand has done it again. Just when we though they had everything (Lord of the Rings, Russel Crowe, gorgeous beaches) they go and do something even better. Introducing – a driving school for dogs. The Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is revolutionizing how we look at abused pups. They’re giving them the chance to drive, not just our hearts, but our cars. Through intensive training, these professionals are able to teach these furry friends a step by step process on how to drive. It usually takes around seven weeks, but once that time is up, it’s time to drive. What’s the purpose behind it all?

Trainers are working with the dogs on accelerating, braking, steering, and even shifting gears, all in an effort to show what should perhaps already be obvious: that the abandoned or abused dogs that wind up at the SPCA are just as capable as any other dogs, if not more so.

So there you have it folks. We have to give a shout-out to DraftFCB New Zealand and Mini for putting all paws on deck and supporting this.
