Sir Ken Robinson is a New York Times bestselling author and world-renowned educationalist. He believes that creativity is the key to effective education, and he’s dedicated his career to convincing others of his vision. Robinson works with governments and education systems throughout the world helping to implement and expand creativity in the classroom. He has also had an extensive career as a professor at the University of Warwick in the UK and is now professor emeritus.
Robinson gained even more international attention after giving a TED Talk entitled “Schools Kill Creativity”. The hilarious and riveting talk has more than 16 million views and has shifted the way thousands approach education. Vanity Fair says this of Robinson:
“If there was a moment when our crisis in education hit critical mass it may well have been the date Sir Ken Robinson’s TED talk went up on YouTube. In just 19 minutes his wry but eviscerating presentation gave voice to what so many of us are living through: our schools are failing to recognize creativity; we’re failing to prepare the next generation for the challenges that lie ahead.”
