Justin is an Invisible Children supporter with big dreams. He attended MOVE:DC back in November and is now looking forward to joining us at the 2013 Fourth Estate Leadership Summit. We’re super excited to see Justin in a few weeks at UCLA and super grateful for the big moves he made to be able to attend the Summit.
When Justin first found out about the Summit, he was in a tough spot financially. As he puts it:
“At the time my finances were shot for me even dreaming about attending. Student loans, car malfunctions, and slow work at the local screen printing shop were limiting my options. I started strategizing and planning. Even as far as to looking up info on giving blood and possibly bone marrow if I could. I knew I HAD to be in LA in August.”
What Justin ended up doing is incredible. He decided to sell his car (a ’97 Miata) in order to cover his Fourth Estate Summit fees. On the decision to sell his car:
“Millions of people do it everyday and people in other countries are walking miles even for the bare necessities, so why can’t I? I sold the car. Saved the money and I now have a golden ticket to the factory where change and liberty will be created for my future generation.”
We’re blown away by Justin’s courage and tenacity to do everything in his power to make it to the Summit. See you in 17 days!
