My freshman year of high school can be defined by one album – Hot Fuss by The Killers. While it has been a minute since I was 15 listening to that album on repeat in my bedroom, the band has has remained one of my favorites through the years. We have used music by The Killers to create some of our most powerful media. In November, they are releasing their first greatest hits album with two new tracks included in the mix.
“Shot At The Night” is one of the two new songs on Direct Hits. The band released the new track, produced by M83, earlier today proving that they haven’t lost it. They perfected the juxtaposition of dark lyrics and an upbeat sound. The song is reminiscent of previous albums with a fresh twist making it a perfect addition to this album.
