We are proud to announce that the winner of our first Uganda trip giveaway is the one and only Meredith Hoffman. As the president of Ursuline Academy’s Invisible Children club, Meredith absolutely blew it out of the water by raising $7,276 in the past two weeks for our #zeroLRA campaign. Not only is Meredith a longtime supporter of Invisible Children, an attendee of the 2013 Fourth Estate Leadership Summit, a track runner, and a budding writer, but now she will be heading to Uganda this summer for the most epic trip of her life: an all-expenses-paid trip to see how our programs work, explore the most beautiful and historic sites of Uganda, and experience a full Ugandan cultural immersion. Meredith is clearly changing the world, and we’re so excited for this trip to change her life.
So how did she raise all that money? Well, all you fundraisers, take notes so you can win the next trip to Uganda, which we will be giving out every two weeks throughout the #zeroLRA campaign. Meredith held a Dress Down Day at her school, gave presentations in all her classes, held a garage sale, sold Invisible Children bracelets, and reached out to her family and friends through letters and social media. If she can do it, so can you.
