Maybe it’s because I’m a recent college grad whose peer group seems to talk about nothing but the job hunt. Maybe it’s because I intern at an organization where everyone seems to miraculously love their job. Whatever the reason, this TED Talk about work life captured my attention and I thought it was worth sharing.
Scott Dinsmore found himself in a “successful” job at a Fortune 500 company after taking what he calls the worst advice of his life: that it’s worth it to accept work you don’t like if it builds your resume. After quitting his job and leaving a life of “quiet desperation,” Dinsmore became obsessed with figuring out how to find and do work you love, and he conveniently passed along his findings to the rest of us lost, confused & directionless folk (just kidding — kind of).
“If you never know what you’re looking for, you’re never going to find it.”
Shoutout to our incredible supporters that have been working tirelessly for #zeroLRA. You are proof of the power of passion to accomplish the impossible.
