Lana Del Rey is known for her raw and gritty music. Keeping in that theme, she has brought us a new video directed by our very own Advisory Council member Anthony Mandler. The short film takes you on a nearly 30 minute ride through three different tracks off her Born To Die — Paradise Edition album.
The video is layered with religious undertones which start with her and her co-star in the Garden of Eden with a few iconic characters on the sidelines set to the track Body Electric. The film then moves to present day Los Angeles where it takes a turn to a more somber and dramatic setting with the track Gods and Monsters. It ends with a purifying and redemptive scene behind the third track Bel Air. It is an emotional and dramatic ride, and if you have the time, I highly recommend watching.
