Seeing as San Diego is the hottest I’ve ever witnessed it in my two years of living here, it is difficult to see the hope of the holidays and the cool weather that accompanies. Sufjan Stevens could be the one to change all that, though. His newest collection of holiday songs Silver & Gold: Songs for Christmas, Volumes 6-10 was announced today.

The collection is his first recorded material since 2010’s electro-folk masterpiece The Age of Adz and a continuation of 2006’s first cult holiday box set.

The albums, scheduled for a November 13 release, will feature a slew of original tracks (predictably odd), covers (presumably gorgeous), stickers, lyrics, ornaments, and more.
