We at Invisible Children live by the belief that our liberty is bound together; that none of us is free unless we are all free. We are led by a vision for a world in which all communities have the protection they deserve and the ability to thrive, free from violence and mass atrocities.

However, violent conflict continues to impact many of our world’s most vulnerable citizens, including tens of thousands in central Africa who face the daily threat of violence at the hands of Joseph Kony and his Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA).

The demands for justice from these communities too often go unheard by international leaders. That’s why Invisible Children joined with 43 other international organizations in urging the U.S. Congress to listen to these voices, and help prevent mass violence by passing the Genocide and Atrocities Prevention Act (S. 2551).

If passed, this legislation will provide a comprehensive framework to combat some of the world’s worst human rights violations and help create solutions that protect communities at risk, including those facing LRA violence. It would give people all over the world, from Syria, to Burma, to Central African Republic, the opportunity to experience the safety they need and deserve in order to flourish.

With the help of our incredible supporters around the world, and our community partners in central Africa, we will continue to work to amplify the voices of communities who have been neglected and left vulnerable to violence at the hand of groups like the LRA for far, far too long.

From our Early Warning Network, which helps protect communities in danger, to our ‘Come Home’ defection messages, which help abducted child soldiers find the courage they need to return home, to our Citizen Advocacy Network, which ensures our leaders stand up for the safety of vulnerable communities, our programs support thousands of LRA-affected families on every step of their journey toward peace and healing.

JOIN US IN AMPLIFYING THE VOICES OF LRA AFFECTED COMMUNITIES.
