Rabbit, rabbit. Happy June, world. It’s a busy week at Invisible Children Music as we gear up for Warped Tour. We previewed the first tee that we’ll be bringing out with us, and it’s all summer everything.
To soundtrack our week of preparation for Warped, here is our newest mixtape juneONE. The past seven days provided some extremely quality new tracks and new artists. Explore all our mixes [HERE].
Here we go…
01. DISCLOSURE – “F For You” :: Finally, the debut album from Disclosure is out, and it’s immediately my favorite of 2013. It’s literally full of hits, including this track. Disclosure are redefining dance music in such a good way.
02. RIZZLE KICKS – “That’s Classic” :: Warning: as this is rap, there is cursing. Alas. Britain’s fun-hop duo Rizzle Kicks return with the first single off their upcoming second album. It’s a fun little tune.
03. ICONA POP – “Girlfriend” :: Icona Pop just own that electro-riot grrrl sound. This is their second official worldwide single, and it’s obviously going to explode and dominate radio charts across the globe. Smart move, you two.
04. PROFESSOR GREEN + MILES KANE – “Are You Getting Enough?” :: Big Professor Green fan. Big Mile Kane fan. Thus. this collab is ideal. Very aggressive and a bit of a departure for Pro Green, which is welcome. Big tune.
05. BASTILLE + O.N.E. – “Thinkin Bout You” :: Bastille’s covers are the hidden gems of his catalog. This is such a refreshing take on the Frank Ocean hit.
06. JAYMES YOUNG – “Dark Star” :: All of our favorite bloggers were going off about Jaymes Young last week, and it’s evident why. Judging by a recent Facebook post, he’s prepping a mixtape. We’re interested.
07. LAURA WELSH – “Cold Front” :: Laura Welsh has been churning out some great tracks. This is her newest cut from a session with half of Rhye, and it’s a solid one.
08. WILSEN – “Dusk” :: New York band Wilsen is on that Daughter/Laura Marling vibe, and we love everything about it. Really stunning track.
09. RADIATION CITY – “Summer Rain” :: Alex Collins is all about Radiation City right now. Their Soundcloud describes their sound as “lo-fi soul,” which actually works. It has a retro feel, which we always appreciate.
