I have been involved with IC since the beginning. When Jason, Laren, and Bobby first came to Uganda in 2003, I was their guide. I helped them get the footage for the Rough Cut and also supported the work that they did between 2003 and 2005, before IC was a non-profit, to support some of our first students in school.

In 2006 I officially started working as a mentor for the Legacy Scholarship Program. I currently have about 30 students under my mentorship. I visit my students at school and home, give them guidance, provide social and academic support, and ensure that they are achieving a high standard of education. Through my mentorship in the Legacy Scholarship Program our students emerge with a better vision and desire to live meaningful lives. My favorite part of being a mentor is when I am able to see a child, who had lost hope in life, receive a scholarship. Through Invisible Children I see people sacrificing to give a better life to others, and the Legacy Scholarship Program allows me to be a bridge builder, empowering my own life along with the lives of my students.

This past spring I had the unique opportunity to work in the IC San Diego office as a Regional Manager (RM) for the Ugandan Roadies. My favorite part of being an RM was working alongside Ugandan Roadies and keeping in touch with them during their tour experience. The Ugandan Roadies and Invisible Children have made me the way I am today. I am so grateful for the experiences I have had since the very start of the organization.
