We understand the impact of giving here at Invisible Children. So did Aaron Collins.

On July 7, 2012—just three weeks after his 30th birthday—Aaron passed away.

During his life, Aaron made a point to leave a powerful and positive impression on each person he met. Once, after he received poor service from an impolite waitress, he left her a $50 tip. The high road was his favorite road.

After his death, Aaron’s family received his few possessions and a will containing specific instructions he wished for them to follow.

In it, Aaron requested that his family go out for pizza and leave a generous tip—of $500.

Since Aaron’s huge heart did not match his bank account, his family created a website and set up an account for anyone willing to donate to Aaron’s last wish.

Not only did his family reach the $500 goal, they collected over $50,000. Currently, they have enough money to treat 105 waiters and waitresses to $500 tips.

The video posted below shows Aaron’s family surprising their fourth benefactor. It’s okay if you cry. We did.
