This one has found itself very strongly near the top of the “best tracks of February” list that I mentally compile each day. Fyfe is an elusive 23-year-old hailing from London (as all the good ones do these days).
He emerged with his debut track “Solace” off an upcoming EP of the same name, and this is the second track taken from the release.
“St. Tropez” is so loved because it does the unexpected – there’s an electronic element, there’s a brass section, and there are saccharine vocals. The whole song is a grab bag of sounds, and it all sounds great.
Very excited to see what else Fyfe brings into existence this year.
