Life Soundtrack:
“Minnie The Moocher” – Cab Calloway
Cab Calloway has had a huge influence in my life, in more ways than one. He opened a performing arts school in my town, which I attended for my middle school years. It was just like you picture a performing arts school to be, ballerinas walking to class and music streaming into the hallway. I was a band major, my favorite time being the hour and a half a day I got to spend in symphonic jazz band. Every year, there was a school wide showcase called “Showstoppers” and as an ode to Cab, this song was always played.
Think people should hear about this?
