This August, during the Fourth Estate Leadership Summit, more than 40 organizations will join Invisible Children for the Common Good Exchange in Los Angeles. The event is a unique opportunity for participants to engage with and learn from some of the most important organizations in the world.

One the organizations that we’re proud to partner with is RYOT News. RYOT is a groundbreaking news platform that connects every story to an action. On traditional news sites the story ends with the last period. But with RYOT, readers are given clear actions steps, which range from donating, signing a petition, or volunteering. In a sense, readers become the news. Each week, RYOT features a non-profit and donates a percentage of its advertising revenue.

Founders David Darg and Bryn Mooser have extensive experience in both the non-profit sector, international journalism, and filmmaking. They co-directed Baseball in the Time of Cholera and were both named as one of Esquire’s “2012 Americans of the Year.” David has worked with CNN, Reuters, and BBC. Bryn served in the Peace Corp in West Africa.

To learn more about this incredible organization and to be empowered by dozens of others, check out the links below and apply for the Fourth Estate Leadership Summit, August 8-11 at UCLA in Los Angeles. The deadline to apply is May 15th.
