WEISSES HAUS, WHITE HOUSE, REGIERUNGSSITZ,Each day we do our best to enjoy the present and prepare for the future, but sometimes we need to reflect a bit on the past. It’s important, especially when facing a huge task.

We need to spend time remembering how far we’ve come, what we’ve accomplished together, and the fun we had along the way. So, following in the tradition of the rest of the internet we’d like to start celebrating Throwback Thursday with you. We’ll recap sweet times we’ve shared throughout the years, with maybe a sprinkling of uncomfortable adolescent photos here and there.

For the first official Invisible Children #TBT let’s take a blast into the past of 2009 when Invisible Children held a concert on the Ellipse Lawn at the White House.

participants gathered to lobby Congress and garner support for the LRA Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act. On the last night of the largest US lobby day ever focused on African affairs, Invisible Children hosted a special concert on the lawn of the White House with Aaron Gillespie (Underoath/The Almost), Bryce Avary (The Rocket Summer), and Nada Surf. At the end of the night a few participants were treated to an intimate acoustic set on the street corner with Anthony Green of Circa Survive. It was epic.

That was our #TBT, now we want to hear about yours.

Do you have any cool memories with Invisible Children? Photos of you during past Invisible Children events? Send them to us or post them here, lets take this trip down memory lane together.
