[Invisible Children Music: We firmly believe that music has a necessary role in giving social movements tremendous amounts of momentum. It is a universal language, and at Invisible Children, it’s important for us to be a part of that language.]

Coming out of a weekend spent on Big Bear Mountain, this week’s Monday Mini Mixtape provides sentiments from the last 2 days, both loud and quiet. Now, go take on the day.

01. GRACE LONDON – “Rocketship Girl” :: We introduced you to this lovely 13-year-old songwriter out of Austin in a blog a couple of days ago in our “Artist to Watch” section. Reminders are never a bad idea, so I thought I would also feature this song once again on our Monday Mini Mixtape this week. You’re welcome.

02. LORDE – “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” :: This 17-year-old pop-rap phenom is giving this classic song a solid comeback, after it exploded onto the scene 28 years before Lorde became a worldwide household name. The song will be featured on the soundtrack of the upcoming Hunger Games: Catching Fire film, and if this is any indication of how good the actual movie will be, then I’ll buy 5 tickets right now.

03. TENNIS – “Main Streets” :: This song is from their newest Small Sound EP, which came out last week via Communion Records. They were also kind enough to allow us to use their music in an upcoming and as-of-now-secret video. #teaser

04. QUADRON – “Hey Love” :: As recommended by the lovely Alex Naser-Hall, “Hey Love” is a perfect way to give this Monday morning the energy it needs.

05. MATT CORBY – “Runaway (Live at the Metro Theater)” :: Matt is a genius. His voice is both angelic and hauntingly gritty. We’ve talked quite a bit about this Australian native, so in case you’ve missed it before, here it is now.
