[Invisible Children Music: We firmly believe that music has a necessary role in giving social movements tremendous amounts of momentum. It is a universal language, and at Invisible Children, it’s important for us to be a part of that language.]
A couple weeks ago, Blindfold Magazine hosted an event–Bound Together–supporting Invisible Children with music, vendors, and our Southeast roadie team was there to do a screening and talk to supporters.
The idea was to create a community event with performers, local artisans and vendors, at a local space to promote Invisible Children and #zeroLRA. Blindfold staff and Will Clarke, a long time supporter of IC who attends Florida Atlantic University worked hard to make the event so incredible. The night consisted of a couple of food vendors and artisans, selling and donating to #zeroLRA as well as performances by Rescue Kid and Wolf Cat.
Mike, the devilishly handsome guitarist from Rescue Kid, and Invisible Children go way back. He was previously in the band Hey Monday, who were incredible supporters Invisible Children. We lived in a tour bus together for over 6 months, and quickly became family. It was great to introduce his new band to the newest members of the IC crew and to get their support.
