Halfway through January 2k14 and I’ve got a good feeling about this year. Hopefully these tunes ease you out of this Monday. Lots of lady gems in here. If you have songs you like that you think would fit our Monday Mini Mixtape vibe, tweet them to us @invisible_music.

PS… I thought I’d bring back our Spotify playlists but because there are usually only 2 or so artists each week that are actually on Spotify… I’m making one massive playlist called MONDAY MEGA MIXTAPE where I’ll just continually add songs to from Monday Mini Mixtapes into one massive playlist. Holla.

01. holychild – “Playboy Girl” :: Performing with IC fave Betty Who this month, here’s a good lil funky beat to get you going.

02. Racing Glaciers – “New Country” :: Big sound from these UK folks. Very “IC” and I like.

03. Yumi Zouma – “The Brae” :: Perfectly mellow 80s synth vibe perfectly paired with a clean guitar sound and delicate, lacey vocals. Dig.

04. Washed Out – “Eyes Be Closed” :: More atmospheric music to zone out to from Washed Out. Hopefully makes you want to create something.

05. Låpsley – “Station” :: 17 years old and writing and producing her own stuff. Even the dude sounding vocal track is just a dropped pitch version of her. Loving Låpsley.

06. Cate Le Bon – “Are You With Me Now?” :: If she could time travel I think she’d be the cute opener for The Velvet Underground. There’s something so endearing about this song to me.

07. Tristen Gaspadarek – “No One’s Gonna Know” :: Nashville represent. I love that Tristen is creative and takes risks with her song structures.
