ArthurBeatriceIt would be an understatement to say that lately, I have been listening to a lot of sad songs fronted by female vocalists. Yes, I unashamedly admit, that I am on a sad girl music hype, and doubt I’ll be shaking it off anytime soon.

So, I began the day trying to decide which sad, female fronted, depression inducing song to toss your way, but then I switched gears when I heard Arthur Beatrice’s “Grand Union”, and decided that I couldn’t keep it to myself. It’s emotional, and perfectly rides the line between upbeat and introspective. The rhythm carries through until the end, and there’s a decent chance you’ll listen to it all day.

Don’t worry, Emma (who pieced together the last Monday Mini Mixtape) and I will still put together a debilitatingly sad playlist in the future, but in the meantime, enjoy your Wednesday with this killer track, followed by another edit of the same song in case the first time around wasn’t enough. Don’t worry, it feels completely different, and the contrast allows it to pair excellent with the original version.
