Warped Tour kicks on this Friday. It’s celebrating its 20th anniversary, and we’re stoked to be along for the ride for the 9th year running.

Here are 3 reasons we can’t wait for tour to kick off.

1. Because we get to meet you face-to-face.

We live and breath for the chance to meet and talk to our supporters face-to-face. Sure, it’s nice to talk on the phone or connect on Facebook, but there is nothing like hearing your story, listening to why you love Invisible Children, and sharing our experiences with you in person. We’re excited about getting more people involved in the mission to end Africa’s longest running war, as well as connecting with old friends.

2. Did we mention the live music?

The line up this year is a strong as ever. Every genre will be represented, from hip-hop to rock to electronic. Let me be bold and say this: if you like music, there is an artist that fits your niche.

My personal favourites? If you read my introduction, you know I am a Philly girl at heart, so I am personally looking forward to hearing Mod Sun, Wax and Watsky throw down – although my rocker alter ego is currently fangirling over We the Kings and The Summer Set.

We also get to hang out with some of our favorite artists who continue to love and support us. The Summer Set, Bayside, Yellowcard, The Maine, Saves the Day, and We Are The In Crowd rank high on that list and we can’t wait to catch up with these culture makers on tour.

This year, we’re especially excited to present our “Legendary” giving keys – a partnership with The Summer Set + The Giving Keys.

3. How else would we spend our summer?

Most people sit in an office behind a desk on a laptop all day. Every day. Yours truly included. So we know what a privilege it is to pack a bag, share a tour bus with Bayside and spend the summer on the open road hitting a new city every day.

We get to spend our days around hundreds of artists and thousands of people, joined together in the heat and humidity, sharing a love of music and artistry, as well as spreading the word about Invisible Children. It’s an adventure.

Stay tuned for all the latest updates from our Roadies, coming soon to a city near you.
