April is being VERY kind to music lovers, thus we are pleased.

Here are ten sounds that we’ve been strongly into over the course of the past seven days.

Support the arts + launch [HERE].

01. RUSTIE – “Slasherr” :: It’s on my “Possible, But Probably Not” list of 2013 to DJ a summer party in Ibiza or Mallorca. I would open my set with this because it’s the most inoffensively summery song I’ve heard all year.

02. DISCLOSURE + ELIZA DOOLITTLE – “You & Me” :: No one provides the world with modern soul garage quite like the duo of Disclosure. They just announced the details for their debut record, and this is surely to be the single to propel them to global dance dominance. It’s good to have Eliza Doolittle back on vox as well.

03. TNGHT – “Acrylics” :: It’s hard to find a buzzier group right now. The newest from TNGHT is aggressive and rowdy.

04. BASTILLE – “Laura Palmer (RAC Remix)” :: A: We love Twin Peaks. B: We love Bastille. C: We love RAC. This is a total reinvention of an already genius track off the super solid debut full-length from Bastille.

05. MGMT – “Alien Days” :: Off their Record Store Day release, MGMT have taken a serious note from The Flaming Lips. It’s good.

06. DENAI MOORE – “Part 4” :: Denai’s unique brand of folk/soul is just silly at this point. Her debut EP is out today, including this multi-layered gem.

07. LONDON GRAMMAR – “Wasting My Young Years” :: We spewed our adoration for this song last week, and we still stand by our words. We’re all having life crises induced by this song.

08. KING KRULE – “Rock Bottom” :: This song is slightly older, but we’ve only gotten involved with it this week after hearing King Krule’s new hip-hop project. “Rock Bottom” is such a strange blend of genres that I can’t yet determine how to dance to it, but I know I want to. That’s impressive.

09. LAURA MVULA – “She (Robin Hannibal Rework)” :: “She” is already a classic, but this reworking from one half of Rhye takes it into a whole other altitude.

10. LANA DEL REY – “Young & Beautiful (DH Orchestral Version)” :: Lana has obviously produced sweeping ballads, but I haven’t heard one like this before. Off the Gatsby soundtrack, this song screams “cinematic.” Oscar-worthy? Yes.
