Celebrate everything. Every escape. Every name. Every life.

Last November, five people successfully escaped from the Lord’s Resistance Army. Two were young men from Uganda who had likely been just children when first abducted. The other three were girls who had been abducted about three years ago.

Two girls were kidnapped in Central African Republic, and the third girl came from the Democratic Republic of Congo. The girls were 13, 16, and 17 years old, respectively, when they escaped the LRA and arrived in Mboki The group said they had seen a white “come home” flier that told them exactly how and where to safely escape. The five followed the instructions and traveled to Mboki.

There they came across a fisherman and asked him to help them cross the river, which he did. Then the fisherman led the group to the head of the community so that they could begin the process of returning to their home countries, learning to cope with the extended trauma they had just endured, and finally reuniting with their families.

Join us as we launch our latest fundraising campaign. Help children, women, and abducted soldiers escape from the LRA and return home. Every step is a step closer to #zeroLRA.
